Farewell Reception Changes!
We would like to inform you that Fr. Walter’s Farewell Reception scheduled for May 5th in the school gym has been CANCELLED. Originally, Fr. Walter was to leave on May 10th but he will now be with us through the month of May which leaves a farewell celebration on May 5th unnecessary. Besides, Fr. Walter wants to bless the whole parish, and many couldn’t attend a May 5 celebration. Therefore, feel free to request a blessing from him at anytime and offer your well wishes.

Sign the Legislative Petition Cards at
Masses today.
Most recently Bishop Daniel Conlon’s message implored us to pray and to express our objections to the extreme abortion bills introduced in the Illinois House and Senate.
As a parish, we are asking you to help voice our objection to these bills. Petition cards asking our lawmakers to vote NO on these bills are in the pews today. Please take a moment to communicate the sacredness of all life by completing a petition.
~ The petition is two-part, one for the House and one for the Senate. Please complete both.
~ Anyone age 13 or older may sign a petition.
~ It is important that you PRINT your name and provide your SIGNATURE.
~ And please provide your address because it will be used to identify your legislative district.
~ Details on the proposed bills are on the back side of the card.
Ushers will collect the petition cards after Holy Communion. The petitions will be sorted and delivered to the appropriate legislative leaders. God bless you and thank you for your support of this effort.
