Dear Ministry Leader,
As you know, coordinating ministry volunteers, staff and the pastor can be a challenge. Parish and school ministries are run by wonderful volunteers who help grow parish life through their dedicated service. Throughout the year we see ministry groups come up with creative new ways to engage and serve our parishioners. For these reasons we have developed a more effective form of communication to connect the councils, staff, parishioners and pastor.
Please find attached a new Ministry Proposal Request Form we are implementing September 1, 2017. Our goal is to streamline the process of reviewing and approving parish – school events and projects. We are asking ministry leaders to use this request form as the first step in the proposal process. The completed form, along with the necessary additional event/project information, will provide the basic data required to review the request.
The request form can be submitted by the ministry leader to the business office through email or in person. Our parish business manager, Ms. Kellie Moore, [email protected], will review the request and confirm all the necessary information has been submitted before circulating the proposal to the appropriate staff and councils. It is our goal to have the proposals reviewed and discussed by the necessary staff and council-board members within 30 days of being submitted. While some proposals can be reviewed and approved through email communications, others will require the councils-boards to meet with ministry leaders before making a formal recommendation to the pastor. Kellie Moore will act as the communications coordinator throughout the review process.
We are asking for your cooperation over the next few months as we implement this new process and we acknowledge and appreciate your eagerness to launch new programs, projects and events at Our Lady of Peace.
The ministry request form can be accessed on our parish website under the Ministry Tab or you may pick up a hardcopy form at the rectory front office. We look forward to working with all ministry leaders to continue to grow in our faith and serve all members of our parish community.
