Sacraments for Elementary School Students
POLICY CONCERNING RECEPTION OF THE SACRAMENTS
Children are to be enrolled in Religious Education classes the year prior to the year of sacramental reception as a norm. This means if a child is to receive communion in 2nd grade, they are to be enrolled in 1st grade. The same holds true for Confirmation. Parents must show proof of the child’s baptism and other sacraments that have been received.
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION MEETINGS AND DATES OF CELEBRATION
Parent Meetings are conducted for the benefit of those parents whose child is being prepared for the reception of a sacrament. Parent Meetings will take place in the church and are scheduled to last approximately one to two hours. Parent attendance at Parent Meetings is required.
