HALLOWEEN AT OLP
As always, Halloween at Our Lady of Peace is quite the occasion! We started the day off with all of the students dressed up in their Halloween costumes and parading through the gym for all of the parents to see. After the parade, the eighth graders shared their talents with us during the annual 8th grade show. As you can tell from the picture above, there was a jungle theme this year. The eighth graders did two versions of their show. The first was for the parents and grandparents that were there. The second was for the students and staff. During the second show, the 8th graders asked the younger kids to help them for a couple of songs. Very Cute! Finally, at the end of the day, the regular Halloween Raffle prizes were delivered to the students and the super raffle prize winners were announced over the p.a. system.
Thank you to everyone that helped out to make this Halloween Raffle a success. This year, we asked the entire school to help out in donating the regular raffle prizes and everyone stepped up big time. There were over 100 regular raffle prizes donated this year. Thank you also to the 8th graders and their parents for all of your time and donations with the raffle.
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Our fall Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 9th (12:30-8:00). The fall conferences are a mandatory conference. If you are unable to attend on this date, please make arrangements with your child(ren)’s teacher(s) to meet on a different date. You can still sign up for conferences on School Speak.
Although the marking period ended October 27th, the grades that are currently in School Speak may not be the grades that your son/daughter has earned for the quarter. The teachers are given a few days to get their final grades and comments into School Speak before we finalize them for report cards. You will be notified when they are final.
GALA AUCTION WINE/HALLOWEEN RAFFLE
Thank you to everyone that took advantage of the wine incentive. I will give individual out of uniform passes to the children of the families that met the donation incentive. The children can use the out of uniform pass any day that is not a Mass day or fundraiser out of uniform day.

As a reminder, we are still accepting raffle tickets. The next drawing will be at the end of this month. HSA will also be selling raffle tickets at this weekend’s Masses.

Girls in Pre-K through 8th grade should not wear leggings or footless tights under their jumper or skirt.
We celebrated Veteran’s Day today at school because we will not have Mass next week. We had a lovely Mass with so many visitors. It was great to honor so many heroes at our Mass. Not only is this beneficial for our veterans, but is is also great for our kids. Thank you to H.S.A. for putting together a great reception following Mass. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Brunsen for organizing the reception.
