Golden was started many years ago in conjunction with Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. For many years the two parishes alternated between them, one parish having it in the fall and the other in the spring. Golden Hands started as a dinner and bingo for seniors – not limited to the two parishes – but is geared for seniors are not able to get out very often. Golden Hands does not charge for the event and the food is donated by the parishioners of both parishes.
