Dear Parishioners, It is my pleasure to introduce you to the members of our Parish Council. These individuals--fellow parishioners called forth to serve--have generously offered their time and talents tohelp guide our parish community. Their dedication is a testament to their faith, and a demonstration of their commitment to our beloved parish.
The members of the Parish Council are committed to exercising the theological virtues offaith, hope, and charity, as they serve our community, as disciples of Christ. The three mainareas of focus are to form a Welcome Committee, to support and help our various ministriesto grow and engage our parish community and surrounding area, as well as to foster spiritualgrowth among our parishioners.
We look forward to working with our clergy, lay staff, and parishioners alike, doing our part to help make Our Lady of Peace a place where all peoples can come to encounter the love of God and of neighbor.

Tony Schiappa
I am proud to serve as a member of the Pastoral Committee for Our Lady of Peace Church. My family has been parishioners at Our Lady of Peace for 13 years. Two of my children graduated from Our Lady of Peace School and my third child completed the fourth grade before the school closed. I have been a lector for the 10:00 am mass on Sundays and enjoy spending time with my church family; it gives me great joy to be surrounded by my brothers and sisters in faith. I also serve my community as a Trustee for the Village of Burr Ridge. These roles, along with that of husband and father, fulfill me.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me. Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
